Growing up in Southeastern Idaho, I felt like I was one of the luckiest girls in the world. My family had a cabin not far from Yellowstone National Park, nestled in a quiet neck of the woods called Island Park. Island Park has a population of about 400 and has only two seasons, Summer and Winter. It is home to the number one snowmobile trail in the country. There is so much to love about growing up there, but what I loved most was spending time at the family cabin.
The heart of the cabin was the 10 ft. knotty pine table. It was around this table that some of my fondest memories were made. Although the table might not have been beautiful– the happy times around it were! I remember hardy meals, card games with my grandparents, and beating my big brothers in a game of monopoly, while gathered at this table.
Tables are where families gather, share great meals, laughter and love. When thinking about a family gathering table, one should ask themselves three questions:
- How will you use it?
- How many people does it need to accommodate?
- How long does it need to last?
At Furnitureland South, the possibilities are inspiring. Conrad Grebel is a premier source known for creating heirloom tables for families, no matter what their size.
