Missy Caulk

Missy’s design career is defined by her focus on her clients. She loves what she does and understands that a satisfied client is the most important element of any design project. Missy is a professionally trained designer with a degree in Architectural Interior Design. For over 25 years she has shared her passion for design with her clients.

Missy believes the key to all projects is color, texture and scale, as well as comfort and function. It is about the mix and not the match, an essential element in creating a personalized home with the “wow factor.” Missy uses color, beautiful fabrics, antiques and collectables to complete the mix that gives a home the desired aesthetic. The art of collecting and incorporating life experiences makes a home purely individual.

Furnitureland South’s product selection and the expertise gained through continued training provides Missy with the inspiration for any design project. Furnitureland South has over 1.3 million square feet of showroom space, and Missy’s inspiration is unlimited.

Attention to Details

Sometimes clients will elect to send their own fabric for the upholstery pieces that they have selected. This is known as “COM,” an abbreviation for Customer’s Own Material. Doing this can help tie the space together with what is in the rest of the rooms, draperies, etc. COM fabrics require special attention to detail and careful […]

Being from South Louisiana, I know the value of a soothing outdoor retreat.  When I am asked to design an outdoor space, I always remember the influences of growing up in the South and the time I spent on my grandmother’s screened porch. I remember the summer breeze coming through the screens and the relaxing […]
