Fine Furniture Design’s Esquire Home Collection hit the floor running as a feature for the Fine Furniture Design launch party on the first evening of the High Point Market — otherwise known as furniture fashion week.
Esquire, an iconic magazine in men’s fashion, and Fine Furniture form the perfect duo to create a collection that embodies style for a modern and cultured consumer. “Featuring a balance of classic and contemporary, new and traditional, the unexpected and exploratory, the collection delivers substance and style for the curious, confident and cultured consumer,” the High Point Market website said.
The 50 casegood pieces in the collection include designs for your bedroom, dining room and living spaces. Hearst Magazines’ global chief licensing director and head of brand development Steve Ross said that these designs strive to “reflect man at his best at home.” However, as the Furnitureland South marketing team walked through this new showroom, we quickly realized these new trendy designs are attractive to women, as well.
“Featuring edgy and eclectic pieces for every living space in the home, the collection brings together inspiration from the world of men’s fashion, culture and style with the quality and craftsmanship of Fine Furniture Design,” according to a Fine Furniture Design press release.
While it may not be surprising to find a motorcycle on the front page of Esquire, it was unexpected and highly appreciated in the middle of a High Point Market showroom. Wall art featuring classic cars and bar stools that mimicked that style of leather seating created a feeling that to view this showroom, you should really be carrying a glass of whiskey while experiencing the comfort provided with each sit test. (Tweet that!)
“The collection pays homage to male interests with details like a British race car green finish and upholstery styles inspired by vintage sports car seats,” the press release said. “The juxtaposition between masculinity and softer design elements create a cool and contemporary feeling — with just a bit of a retro vibe — that has authenticity to it that is easy to live with.”
