This past Saturday, May 21st, a team of Furnitureland South employees, friends and family gathered together to walk at the American Heart Association’s Guilford Heart and Stroke Walk.
For the past few months our teams have been working hard to raise money for this charitable event. Take a look at some of our fundraising efforts!
Through Bake Sales, a Hot Dog Carnival Luncheon, Ice Cream Socials and additional donations, our team was able to raise $5,383.16!
Furnitureland South had 5 teams participate in the walk:
The starting line was located under a giant American Flag held in place by two fire trucks.
To get us warmed up for the event, the Greensboro Jazzercise group led us through a dance workout.
Dogs were welcome too, so there were plenty of friendly and furry animals to pet!
Katy’s poor dog Louie didn’t make it too far though!
The event was a huge success and truly inspirational. There were many survivors that participated in the walk, and we feel honored to have walked alongside them.
Thank you to all that donated their time and money to this wonderful cause!
