It’s all about the accents!

A great way to dress up a room and add character is to highlight the more substantial pieces in the room with fun accents that express your unique style. Bold patterns and designs are becoming more prevalent and, while they can be tempting, they can also be a little intimidating. Accents are the perfect solution for adding bold, fun pieces to your home without going overboard. While exploring the High Point Market this week, I found lots of great new accent pieces that are guaranteed to make a statement.

Hooker Furniture is a wonderful place to find accents. They have dozens of chests, occasional tables and more.

{Cachet Chest}

This Caché Chest, introduced last Market, features a matte gold finish. The similar colors make the design understated at a distance, and captivating up close.

The Rafferty Console features a beautiful base inspired by an Old World compass and has a rustic finish. It would make a great accent in a dining room, den, family room, or even bedroom.

The Phoebe Jewelry Armoire is the perfect place to stow or display your favorite jewelry. It offers plenty of space, and the finish is feminine and classic.

Hooker Furniture’s Zebra Accent Table is a really fun piece with a bold animal print. It would be great in any sitting room to make a fun statement and lighten the mood of the room.

Finally, I love this Chloe Accent Chest. The floral pattern is great for brightening a room, and the piece has an amazing retro feel.

Accent pieces are a great way to complete a room. One little accent piece can tie everything else together, change the whole feel of the room, and spark conversation. Opting to use an accent piece to make a room pop is a great, inexpensive way to add that extra punch to your space. You can create a personal feel and style in your room by changing accents seasonally or with changes in your personal style, and not feel guilty!
