Mirror, Mirror OFF the Wall…

It seems we all grew up with that classic, unframed mirror – held in place with clips - either above the mantel or over the sofa.  Some of us even lived in a home with an entire mirrored wall.  Our mothers knew that those mirrors created an illusion of space and amplified the size of the room, but they didn’t do much for the aesthetics.   Well, the mirrors of our mothers’ generation are now a thing of the past.  Today’s mirrors are not flat and frameless and hung on the wall; they are bold, beautiful and on every surface of every type of home furnishings and accents available.

The wonderful thing about these mirrored home furnishings and accents, is that they are not only practical, but they have a whole host of mood enhancing properties and create an aesthetic that truly reflects our personalities.  Utilize these home furnishings to “mirror” your decorating style.

John Richard Candle Sticks

Jack may be nimble and quick, but this set of mirrored candlesticks by John Richard were not meant to be jumped over.

Bassett Mirror Vanity

Narcissus would have every right to be vain, sitting in front of this vanity from Bassett Mirror.

Your home may not be the Palace of Versailles with its hall of mirrors, but your home is your castle, and you can use something mirrored in every room.  Why not give mirrored home furnishings a try?  You might be surprised at how reflective they are of your personality!
