superMARKETsweep!
With Furniture Market taking over High Point, NC this past week, I decided to fully immerse myself in this global, time honored tradition. As this was my first “Market experience,” I wanted to be involved in everything! After floating through one beautiful showroom after another, each filled with excitement & exquisite furniture, I felt myself not only noticing, but being drawn toward a very specific look; industrial. It was everywhere! Almost every manufacturer had at least one piece that screamed of that “raw-metal, old factory” look.
For those of you out there who are like me and love this look, but are unsure if you can make it work in your home, I have some advice . . . my TIP for incorporating this very unique look is to: follow the rule that ”less is more.” You can bring a touch of industrial vintage-chic, to any home, by adding a piece as simple as a lamp or an end table. Or for a more edgy approach you can add a set of metal dining chairs. The possibilities are endless!
Here are some pieces that can update any style with pops of vintage industry:
Industrial Pendant Lights
Reclaimed Furnace and Iron Pipe Chair
Industrial Shelf with Raw Materials
Charming Rustic Desk
Industrial Accents
